2009 Certification Courses & Schedule

Mandated training requirements are constantly changing in the world of Material Handling Equipment. The increased rate of new model introductions is driving the need for additional training, not just for the service department, but for everyone who interfaces with material handling equipment.

New federal regulations, higher customer expectations, safety and properly trained Operators all play a major role in the ever-changing industry. FLE offers OSHA certified Operator Training to meet the demands of the marketplace.

General Information

  1. Payment, in full, must be received a minimum of 72-hours prior to the course.
  2. Courses are subject to cancellation a minimum of 24-hours prior to published start date and time.
  3. A minimum of 10 students and a maximum of 15 students per course.
  4. Students enrolled in a course which does not make will be moved forward to the next available published course without refund.
  5. Courses are conducted in accordance with the applicable OSHA and ANSI regulations.
  6. Certification, upon successful completion, is provided for the standard three (3) year period.
  7. Each course offered requires a minimum of three (3) hours to five (5) hours worth of instruction, including both classroom and practical instruction.
  8. All training is offered on the premises of Forklift Enterprises, Inc. Off-site training is available upon request and is subject to increased tuition rates.

Aerial Work Platform: Scissor Lift FLE offers Aerial Work Platform

(AWP): Scissor Lift courses. The course is designed to train the operator on the proper use of AWP: Scissor Lift. The course offers an awareness of the controls, as well as the safe and proper use of an AWP: Scissor Lift. The course features classroom and hands-on training to qualify the operator on particular AWP: Scissor Lift.

In addition, video and other visual presentation materials will be used during the course of instruction. After passing the examination a wallet card will be given to each trainee for his or her records. This course does not qualify anyone to teach operator safety classes. The course is designed for operators and meets the requirements set forth in ANSI/SIA A92.6-2006.

Upon successful completion of this course, the trainee will be certified to operate an Aerial Work Platform: Scissor Lift for three (3) years. AWP courses are four (4) hour courses.  All AWP courses offered meet the requirements for recertification.

Aerial Work Platform: Boom Lift FLE offers Aerial Work Platform

(AWP): Boom Lift courses. The course is designed to train the operator on the proper use of Aerial Work Platform: Boom Lift. The course offers an awareness of the controls, as well as the safe and proper use of an Aerial Work Platform: Boom Lift.

The course features classroom and hands-on training to qualify the operator on particular Aerial Work Platform: Boom Lift. In addition, video and other visual presentation materials will be used during the course of instruction. After passing the examination a wallet card will be given to each trainee for his or her records. The course does not qualify a student to teach operator safety classes.

The course is designed for operators and meets the requirements set forth in ANSI/SIA A92.6-2006.

Upon successful completion of this course, the trainee will be certified to operate an Aerial Work Platform: Boom Lift for three (3) years. AWP courses are four (4) hour courses. All AWP courses offered meet the requirements for recertification.

PIT: Powered Industrial Truck

(PIT): Industrial Forklift courses (Class I – V). The course is designed to train the operator on the proper use of a PIT: Industrial Forklift. The course offers an awareness of the controls, as well as the safe and proper use of a PIT. This course features classroom and hands-on training to qualify the operator on PIT: Industrial Forklift (Class I – V).

In addition, video and other visual presentation materials will be used during the course of instruction. After passing the examination a wallet card will be given to each trainee for his or her records. The course does not qualify a student to teach operator safety classes. The course is designed for operators and meets requirements set forth in OSHA 1910.178(i).

Upon successful completion of this course, the trainee will be certified to operate a PIT: Industrial Forklift (Class I – V) for three (3) years. This is a four (4) hour course. This course meets the requirements for recertification.
